What this involves
- Design a scenario against the organisation's real dependencies — a cyber incident, a hybrid campaign, an infrastructure or logistics failure, an energy disruption, a disinformation surge or a climate emergency.
- Run it as a tabletop, a simulation or a red-team format, with an exercise control plan and briefing material for every participant.
- Report what actually happened: an after-action report and an improvement plan with named owners, not a summary of the day.
Typical engagement
Exercises test whether people, processes and technology hold together when they are used under pressure rather than described in a plan. CORE designs the scenario, facilitates and controls the exercise, and writes the after-action report; the client supplies the participants and the decisions. The improvement plan is written to feed the policy dialogue step, so that a finding survives beyond the room it was found in.
