Plovdiv360
A digital twin of Plovdiv that brings open urban data on infrastructure, schools, road safety, air quality, population and the built environment into one interactive map and analytical workspace.
Purpose
Plovdiv360 creates a digital twin of Plovdiv for evidence-led urban planning. It combines open and public data about buildings, streets, green areas, road accidents, schools, population and environmental sensors, allowing relationships between the city’s systems to be examined in one place rather than through separate datasets.
Who it is for
Municipal teams, urban planners, analysts, researchers and partner organisations that need to assess questions such as accident concentration near schools, pressure on school capacity, air quality, accessibility and the placement of transport infrastructure.
What it produces
An interactive city map with selectable analytical layers; a school-environment module combining infrastructure, access, safety and air-quality indicators; a road-safety module for Rodopi municipality; an operational dashboard; downloadable reporting; and a data catalogue recording each layer’s source, licence, quality and automation status.
Method note
Plovdiv360 is built by SkillCatalyst. Its published methodology uses public pages, open APIs and downloadable datasets, transforms source material into standardised geospatial layers, and labels derived data and known limitations. Source organisations named by the platform include OpenStreetMap, Bulgaria’s open-data portal, Traffic Police, Plovdiv Municipality, Sensor.Community and the National Statistical Institute.
